This was one of the first original slash stories I ever read, and it's probably been more formative in shaping my tastes than any other. The author's summary does not do this story justice. It's an exploration of love and desire in impossible circumstances among deeply damaged characters. Though English isn't Tang's first language the writing is still well-wrought and deeply affecting. There is a lot of squick, and though none of it is romanticized, PLEASE take the warnings seriously. The material is extremely dark.
